16 Gift Ideas for a Marvel-Obsessed Dad

So you’re on the hunt for a Father’s Day gift for your marvel obsessed husband, and you don’t know where to start. Well, sister, I’m here to help.

Here’s a list of 16 of my favorite Marvel-themed gifts for dad. I’ve included gifts for any budget, ranging from $6.49 to $114.99 at the time of writing.

Father's Day Gift Guide

1. Target X-Men and Avengers Shirts

$12.99

You might not realize it, but Target usually has a large variety of X-Men and Avengers apparel in their inventory. This is a great option for a last-minute gift if you don’t have time to wait on shipping.

2. Graphic Novel, Spider-Man: Kraven’s Last Hunt

$9.59- Kindle, $43.10- Paperback Used

If your Marvel-obsessed man loves to read, a graphic novel is a great option for a gift. A graphic novel is much more substantial than a single comic book.

My husband loves the mature storytelling in Spider-Man: Kraven’s Last Hunt. This is a relatively dark and ominous Spider-Man graphic novel in which Kraven the Hunter seeks to finally beat Spider-Man.

At the time of writing, this particular graphic novel is sold out, and used copies are a little on the expensive side. You can purchase used copies or a kindle version on Amazon.

You might also have good luck purchasing through a buy and sell website like eBay. If you go this route, I recommend using the ISBN number when searching. Just type the 10 digit number, 0785134506, into the search bar, and all of the active listings will show up.

3. Omnibus, X of Swords

$16.19- Kindle, $72.90- Hardcover

If you’re a Marvel newbie like me, you might be unfamiliar with the term omnibus. In general, an omnibus is a large collection of written works previously published separately.

In the Marvel world, many individual comics are published together to tell a larger story in the form of an omnibus. Sometimes you’ll see these omnibuses referred to as “events”. It is usually much cheaper to purchase an omnibus instead of buying each of the comics separately.

There are many different omnibuses out there to choose from. My husband recommends X of Swords. This particular omnibus is a collection of 22 X-Men comics. You can jump right into this storyline even if you don’t have any previous knowledge of X-Men. And if you have read X-Men comics before, your previous knowledge will only enhance the story.

4. Captain America Shield

$176.16

This life-size shield is a replica of the Captain America shield featured in the new Disney+ series, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. This is a great gift for a husband who’s into cosplay or even just a collector.

5. Marvel Action Figures

Price Varies

Are you looking for a specific toy, err… I mean collectible… for your husband? Consider checking out Big Bad Toy Store. With thousands of Marvel items in their store, it’s the perfect place to purchase hard-to-find Marvel action figures.

Big Bad Toy Store is my husband’s go-to site for purchasing specific action figures he can’t find elsewhere. They’re very reliable and take great care to ship your item safely. If you know your husband’s favorite character but can’t find it anywhere else, this site is bound to have it.

6. Venom Coffee Mug

$6.49

If your husband is a fan of the 90’s Spider-Man animated tv series, then I’m sure he’s just like my husband and is a huge fan of all things Venom. You can’t go wrong with a Marvel-themed coffee mug for your coffee-drinking, Marvel-loving husband.

7. Marvel Wall Art

$29.99

You might not realize it, but Hobby Lobby has a plethora of Marvel wall art. They have all different-sized canvases perfect for any sized space.

My husband loves this one that he has displayed in his man cave. It features a long collection of heroes and villains from the Marvel universe.

8. LEGO Infinity Gauntlet

$69.95

Perhaps your marvel obsessed husband also loves legos. If that’s the case, this 590 piece Lego Marvel Infinity Gauntlet collectible is a perfect gift. Your husband will have a blast building his very own infinity gauntlet. Just make sure he doesn’t snap. (Cause, well, you know…)

Need another Lego option? Check out this Iron Man Helmet for $72.84.

9. IKEA Detolf Display Case

$59.99

There’s no better way to show support for your husband’s growing Marvel collection than to purchase him a display case to show off his assembly of collectibles. I’ve learned through my husband that this display case from IKEA is a staple among Marvel enthusiasts.

The IKEA cabinet is a fantastic value considering the cost, and this case has rave reviews. My husband is planning on purchasing two when we move into our next house to display his growing collection.

10. Marvel Comics Subscription

$9.99/month or $69/year

This Marvel Comics subscription gives you unlimited access to over 28,000 comics. If your husband loves to read, but you’re on a tight budget, this could be a great way to grant him access to the Marvel Universe.

You could buy him a one-month subscription or even an entire year. And don’t worry, once your hubby has read his fill of comics, you can cancel the subscription at any time.

11. Marvel Gear + Goods Lootcrate

$43.49 for 1 crate, $127.47 for 3 crates, $248.94 for 6 crates

Have you ever heard of the Fab Fit Fun subscription boxes for women? Lootcrate is a similar concept. You pay a flat rate and receive a crate full of surprise Marvel-themed items.

You can prepay for 1, 3, or 6 crates. They are shipped every other month, so purchasing 6 crates would last an entire year.

12. IMAX Tickets

Price varies

Maybe your husband relishes spending quality time with those he loves. A great gift could be planning a date night made complete with IMAX tickets to see the Black Widow in theaters July 9th.

Pick a date, schedule a sitter, and present your husband with the perfect Marvel-themed date.

13. Disney+ Subscription

$7.99/month, $79.99/year

If you don’t already have Disney+, getting a subscription for your husband could be a great gift. He can relive his childhood and binge classic Marvel content like the original Spider-Man series. He’ll also have access to all of the new Marvel movies and recent shows.

Being able to watch all of these movies and shows from the comfort of your own home also provides your husband the opportunity to bond with his kids, sharing his love for Marvel with the next generation of Marvel fans.

14. I love you 3,000 keychain

$9.89

The phrase, “I love you 3,000” is one of my favorite lines from a Marvel movie. If you haven’t seen Avengers: Endgame, then this line might not mean much to you, but if you have, then you know the significance.

For those who are curious, Tony Stark tells his daughter, “love you tons,” and she says back, “I love you 3,000.” What makes this line so poignant is when Tony references it again in a prerecorded video viewed by his family after his death. I cry every. single. time. when I watch this scene.

A keychain with this phrase is a great way to remind your husband daily how much his kids love him.

15. Captain America Blender Bottle

$34.99

Does your husband drink protein shakes? If so, this blender bottle would make a great Father’s Day gift. It has rave reviews on Amazon saying how it keeps drinks cold all day and doesn’t leak! Practical and stylish. That’s what I’m talking about.

16. 1,000 Piece Puzzle

$15.99

This 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle would be a fun activity for dad to complete with his older kids or even on his own.

Conclusion

I hope you’ve found at least one item the marvel-obsessed dad in your life will love! Comment below if you have any ideas to add.
