My kids love those Do-A-Dot markers, but the workbooks get expensive; I made some dot art worksheets for St. Patrick’s Day and thought I’d share the free PDFs with you!

Best Ages for Dot Marker Activities
Dot marker activity sheets are perfect for ages 2-5.
I have three kids, ages (almost) 2, 4, and 5. The 4 and 5-year-olds do really well with these; stamping the dots with the marker is generally pretty accurate, and they have a lot of fun with it.

My 5-year-old daughter, currently obsessed with arts and crafts, especially loves gluing pom poms to the dots on these pages. These worksheets are super versatile.
So if you’re looking for St. Patrick’s worksheets for preschoolers, this one should definitely be added to your stockpile!

But the 2-3 age range is where you’ll see the most benefit, developmentally.
Developmental Benefits of Dot Markers
Karen of Mamma Bear Says covers the developmental benefits of dot markers perfectly, but here’s the gist: dot markers are fantastic for developmental and educational benefits.

Here’s a quick look at the benefits:
- Hand-eye coordination
- Motor skills
- Grip
- Dexterity
- Creativity
The beauty of this is your kiddo will have no clue that their play is doing so much good. They’re just busy having fun!
Do a Dot Activity Supplies
I made these St. Patrick’s Day dot marker activity sheets with the dot markers in mind, but you have several options!

For the dot markers, my favorite brand is Do-A-Dot, as they don’t dry out, and they work the first time (no shaking or extra pressing to get the ink out needed).
So, you can use the dot markers, but you could also use round stamps or sticky dots (like the kind you use for garage sales).
The Dollar Store usually has seasonal round stamps toward the front, but you can also snag some from Amazon.
You can also find huge packs of dot stickers from Amazon for a killer price. And there are a ton of fun activities you can do with them, so they won’t go to waste.

Circle Stickers, Stamps, and Pom Poms
While the Do-A-Dot markers are a ton of fun, circle stickers are perfect for on-the-go. Think on a plane, car rides, church, or dinner at a restaurant.
They don’t make a mess, and your child will still get all the same fine motor benefits as the markers.
Throwing in stamps adds another layer of creativity for your little one, and pom poms with glue sticks is another unique option.
The same worksheet offers a whole new experience when you throw in a variety of art supplies!
